Winter Blaaasss? Brighten up your wardrobe with a pair of Stripes-Alive Socks! Join the KAL!

I just love the spring colors in this yarn! The March Knit-Along (KAL) project, "Stripes-Alive" features a cuff-down sock, and if you use the featured Trekking XXL color "Prism" you will have more chances to win terriffic prizes from Skacel!

Since the beginning of the year, Skacel teamed up with Michelle Hunter of "Knit Purl Hunter" to kick-off a series of monthly Knit-Along projects and contest. Each month a new one skein project is featured, introducing knitters to different techniques ... the March project is a cuff-down sock pattern called "Stripes Alive" ... if you like the project, but prefer a more traditional colors, we have a bunch of colorways to choose from!

On March 1st, Michelle will post the first segment of the sock pattern, and will be posting the rest of the instructions for the project in three more segments on the 8th, 15th and 22nd at www.knitpurlhunter.com. Along with the pattern, educational “how-to” video lessons will enable knitters of all skill levels to participate! Also, comments and questions will be answered daily at the KAL site.

Remember to submit your project to Skacel to be eligible for prizes! Weekly and monthly prizes will be awarded, culminating in July with the Grand Prize ... a weekend getaway to Seattle for two people, including a trip to Skacel and a $1,000 yarn and needle shopping spree in the Skacel warehouse! It might not feel like spring yet, but it’s snowing spring yarn around here!!! We are getting deliveries of new spring yarns every day, and Scout is working his tail off putting them on the website as fast as he can take pictures! This spring introduces a whole new set of fashionable patterns and terrific new yarns!
