Having fun knitting that heavy wool afghan in the dog days of summer? … I don’t think so!  Socks are my favorite for summer knitting!  Small enough to stuff in your bag and take anywhere, the ankles are easy, while turning the heel will test you on a lazy summer afternoon.  If you like, add pattern work such as cables or some lace work for more of a challenge.
