When you purchase anything della Q, you will feel good knowing that Della (yep, that's her real name) is helping Mekong Quilts.   A portion of all della Q sales goes to Mekong Quilts, a non-profit community development program that provides employment and training to women in rural Vietnam.  The quilters receive training, a fair wage and other benefits and work in a safe and comfortable environment.  In addition, all profits generated from the sale of the quilts are reinvested into the community in the form of scholarships for children and agricultural training in order to benefit the poor communities in which the quilters live.

Della funded the purchase of a number of new embroidery machines and funded the training on the new equipment.  Also, any of Della's excess silk fabric is donated to the quilters at the end of each season.
