You always wanted to learn to knit Fingerless Gloves … here is your chance! … join the Knit-Along!
You love fingerless mittens and gloves, you have a cell phone dependency, and it is cold outside. A pair of fingerless gloves would be perfect ... but the knitting looks like it might be tough! … here is your opportunity to knit a pair with the help of Michelle Hunter and the rest of the knitting world in a fun Knit-Along!
Last month, Skacel teamed up with Michelle Hunter of "Knit Purl Hunter" to kick-off a series of monthly Knit-Along (KAL) projects (and contest, more on this later). Each month a new one skein project is featured, introducing knitters to different techniques ... the February project, called "Reciprocation", features a fingerless glove pattern!
On February 1st, Michelle will post the first segment of the gloves, and will be posting the rest of the instructions for the project in three more segments on the 8th, 15th and 22nd at www.knitpurlhunter.com. Along with the pattern, educational “how-to” video lessons will enable knitters of all skill levels to participate! Also, comments and questions will be answered daily at the KAL site.
Bonus: Additional chances to win prizes will be given to those who knit the fingerless gloves in this month's featured Trekking yarn color "Sand"!
Did someone say Contest? There will be weekly and monthly prizes awarded, culminating in July with the Grand Prize ... a weekend getaway to Seattle for two people, including a trip to Skacel and a $1,000 yarn and needle shopping spree in the Skacel warehouse! More info on these great prizes ...
